Particle physics deals with some of the most fundamental questions related to the structure of matter at the smallest distances, pushing the limits of our knowledge. We are particularly interested in the theoretical interpretation of the results of experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN and the flavor physics experiment BELLE II at KEK (Tsukuba/Japan).
Our group is known for very precise predictions for collider and flavor observables within the Standard Model of particle physics based on perturbative and non-perturbative quantum field theory methods. The comparison of our calculations with experimental results provides insights into possible extensions of the Standard Model that could answer open questions such as the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe or the nature of dark matter.
