Scope

The investigation of quantum correlations is not only necessary from a fundamental point of view – to gain a better understanding how correlations can be realized in quantum mechanics – but also serves as a starting point for the development of new applications in quantum information. Various aspects of quantum correlations, such as Bell non-locality, steering, entanglement, and temporal correlations, will be discussed at this seminar. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together people working on these closely related topics and encourage discussions among them. This workshop provides an opportunity for young researches to gain an overview as well as insights into new developments in this area, and the possibility to discuss with experienced researchers from the field.

Registration

Due to the generous support of the WE-Heraeus Foundation, there will be no conference fee, and meals and accommodation at the Physikzentrum will be covered. The number of participants is limited to 50, therefore the organizers will have to make a selection among the applications based on the provided information. There will be two poster sessions and participants are strongly encouraged to present a poster about their research. Before each poster session there will be a session of informal poster-flash talks (approx. 1-2 min, without slides) and there will be a poster prize awarded for each poster session. Two of the submitted poster contributions will be selected to be presented as a contributed talk. We encourage young scientists to apply. The WE-Heraeus foundation will contact the selected participants.
